#IAMTHECHANGE
The Smith Family Foundation Of New Jersey is focused on programing that directly impacts College & Career Readiness for Trentonians. We believe that all Trentonians have a right to be educated and that education will promote a stimulus in the city in a variety of ways. We attest that Higher education as the normal next step is our goal with an emphasis on college and increased career/vocational awareness.

Pathways to Student Success
This bridge program supports our #IAMTHE CHANGE Scholarship award winners through undergraduate and trade school. Each student is provided individualized support including ongoing financial, academic, summer internships and career counseling support to help maximize their full potential and prepare them to transition into adulthood. It is the aim of Pathways to Student Success to encourage Trentonians to return to the city after graduating to build a community of young professionals committed to seeing Trenton THRIVE!
Welcome Home Freshmen
In 2017 SFFNJ started the Welcome Home Freshmen event designed to celebrate our young Trentonians returning home from their first year of college. Along with the Trenton community at large, we show them that we are proud and that we will continue to support them though their journey to make higher education the normal next step! Further, our returning stars are afforded the opportunity to mentor and encourage our high school juniors and seniors in attendance to pursue higher education after graduating!
College Care Packages
our annual giveaway to help students throughout the City of Trenton and Mercer County transition into higher education. We believe no student should feel alone and should have all the essentials or resources to be successful. Along with our community and corporate sponsors, we set the standard by offering nonperishable items, and other essentials such as refrigerators, microwaves, and laptops to graduating seniors.
