The staff and trustees of the Smith Family Foundation Of New Jersey welcomes applications from high school seniors who are making a transition into a 4 year college or university, have performed a minimum of 10 hours of community service and agree to volunteer at the Smith Family Foundation of New Jersey’s Welcome Home college event May 23, 2019. As apart of our campaign to encourage high school graduates from Trenton to view higher education as a normal next step, we are excited to offer Three types of scholarships to graduates living in Trenton, New Jersey, except for one awarded in East Orange, New Jersey). Applicant can apply for only one of the Three types which are our Christian Ministry Scholarship for college bound students involved in ministry, the IEP Scholarship for students with an active individual education program and our Book Scholarship open to any graduation senior from Trenton NJ. Applicants may submit a proposal only once each calendar year. Students that fit the requirements may apply.

We offer graduating seniors scholarships in 3 categories:

IEP Scholarship

Applicant must have an active IEP and a min GPA 2.3. Awardees will receive a total of $5,000 split between the fall and spring semester with benchmark  requirements met for spring disbursement.

Book Scholarship

Each applicant seeking a book scholorship must have a min GPA of 3.0. Book Scholarships are $500 in the fall semester.

Ministry Scholarship

Christian Ministry Scholarship for a college bound student involved in ministry.
